“At the Center of Your Being”
Mural created for the ChromaZone Mural Festival
University Avenue W -
Saint Paul, Minnesota
2022
This work was inspired by the idea that as we journey through life, each of us holds near and dear deep aspirations, goals, a vision or purpose, that’s as unique to each of us as our own life experiences.
As we work towards that goal, we are bound to encounter ups and downs, or wins and losses along the way. When we keep our head up and stay true to our path, I believe we will be guided towards our deepest calling and purpose in life.
The bear in this composition represents the reflective and determined mind, never losing sight of it’s vision or goal. The fish represent the various people, relationships, opportunities and encouragement that help sustain and allow us to push forward, even in tough times, towards our calling. The human head frames the scene to suggest that as individuals, we are all navigating the ebbs and flows in our journey getting there.
